Mike Hynes

President, Chief Executive Officer and Principal Broker

As the President and Chief Executive Officer, Mike is responsible for the oversight of all activities of the corporation including real estate development, financing, construction oversight, and asset management as well as the administration of supportive programs.

Prior to joining Winterwood, Mike held the position of President with The Housing Partnership, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mike came to The Housing Partnership in 2003 as an Asset Manager, and during his tenure he also served as the Director of Real Estate Development and the Executive Vice President prior to being named President in 2010.

Additionally, Mike has spoken at various conferences and seminars, and has served as an expert in matters pertaining to the development and operations of affordable housing.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed Broker in the state of Kentucky and holds a Master of Science in Strategic Finance from Indiana University.

Mike currently serves as the President of the Kentucky Affordable Housing Coalition, a statewide coalition to advance affordable housing issues in the state of Kentucky.

He is married, has two children, and currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky.

Zach Worsham

Vice President

Zach has been with Winterwood for ten years and currently serves as the organization’s Vice President. His primary responsibility is oversight of the company’s real estate development team. Zach has overseen over two hundred million dollars of investment in affordable housing during his career. His passion for providing people a home that they can be proud of is only matched by working with non-profit service providers to re-imagine their facilities and the way in which they serve communities. Zach lives in Lexington with his beautiful wife and son.

Hannah Steele

Acquisitions Manager/Sales Associate

Hannah joined Winterwood in 2015 as an administrative assistant while she was in college. After graduating the University of Kentucky she got a job with Winterwood Development as a Development Associate and held that position for 3 years.

In 2021 Hannah became the Acquisition Manager of Winterwood Development. As Acquisition Manager Hannah is responsible for acquiring new assets for the company to develop as well as getting the projects through the development process and onto closing. Hannah has experience with developing a project from start to finish including underwriting, applications, and close out of projects.

Hannah is also a licensed real estate agent in the state of Kentucky. She has experience in buying, selling and refinancing Multifamily properties.

Jacob Spillman

Project Manager

Jacob joined Winterwood in 2012 as a construction apprentice gaining experience specific to the multi-family housing industry. In 2018 Jacob was promoted to the position of Senior Superintendent where he was responsible for the construction completion and supervision of approximately 600 units. During Jacob’s tenure he gained experience in all aspects of the construction industry.

Jacob has recently transitioned over to Winterwood Development taking the role of Development Project Manager. In his role as Development Project Manager, Jacob is responsible for communicating with architects, attending draw meetings, and working closely with the construction and engineering companies who help develop Winterwood Development properties.

Josh Robinson

Director of Development

Josh Robinson serves as Director of Development and In-House Counsel at Winterwood Development, overseeing legal strategy and guiding the execution of affordable multifamily projects across the company’s portfolio. His duties include contract negotiation, project planning, financial structuring, and coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants, and works on projects from initial concept through closing.

Before joining Winterwood, Josh practiced in real estate and corporate law, advising on development, finance, and transactional matters. He holds a Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.

Josh lives in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife and son and enjoys golf and University of Kentucky athletics.
